Rescue Cinema Day 1

Yesterday marked the opening of Rescue Cinema, a FREE film festival for the benefit of the victims of Typhoon Yolanda. Not only do you get to help our brothers and sisters in the Visayan region, but most especially, you also get to take home the experience of the films shown.

Although the film viewing is definitely free, Caritas Manila was there to collect donations for the victims.

Artists also donated their artworks to be sold and  their proceeds will be given to Caritas Manila.

People from Rescue Cinema.

There were a total of five films screened that entire day such as Ang Sayaw ng Dalawang Kaliwant Paa, Halaw, Dagim, Thelma and Transit. I was able to watch Hannah Espia's Transit, the official entry of the Philippines to the 2013 Academy Awards. For free. Drop dead crazy!

Director Hannah Espia answered our questions.

Lead star Jasmine Curtis-Smith.

A sweet bonus, Jasmine Curtis-Smith's boyfriend, Sam Concepcion.

Photo ops!

Rescue Cinema will have its last day tomorrow, November 24, 2014 at the U-View Theater of Fully Booked BGC. Here is the complete schedule of the film festival:
